off to grandmas house we went!

So monday went and saw family, tuesday we went to the beach, wednesday we just hung out and thursday we went to univeral, friday we went and dropped nick at the airport to say goodbye :( and we picked up little Kayli :) and off to the grandparents house we went. Here are pics from our time there. It was so nice getting to see nicks grandparents! They are SO wonderful and soooo sweet to Kate. We had an incredible breakfast with chocalate rolls which are to DIE for, and then went shopping and THEN came home for a FEAST! It was great, Kate got to meet her little cousin Clark and they got to play the piano and hang out! It was a great time!

So we have new bathtime pics. She Loved her bath time at the grandparents house, Nice and big with LOTS of bubbles and of course TONS of attention. Two great things. She is getting so big! I cant believe it people. Look at the difference in the first bath time pics to now...shes turning into a little girl. I dont know how I feel about this.

it was pretty funny though, she was getting all excited and having fun and then lost her balance and well she caught herself, but look at the face she is making! Priceless!

Watermelons and sand...

Here is Day one!! We went to the beach the monday after we got into florida! It was SO fun, Kate was not really too into it, it was a good thing we went again, so Ill post those pics later. But as our first time to the beach where she understands what is actually going on, well, she didnt really like it. She loved LOVED the sand, but not too keen on the ocean and water hitting her little booty, and we went ahead and had a little photo shoot to make her a little more miserable. We also got to hang out with our cousins Stephen, Melissa and their little one Ashlyn, along with nicks aunt and uncle Greg and doree! It was fun to see Ashlyn and Kate interact the little bit that they did.

Amie Dog

So In September of 2006 2 months before we got engaged, we purchased a sweet, crazy, rambuncious puppy. We named her Amie after this great song by Damien Rice, called well..Amie.

She moved with us to Tyler, and got a brother Da Jorge, then Georgie went to live on a farm, and she then experienced the change of her life. She went from being the beloved baby to the Dog...but little did she know that she was just getting a little buddy...Although the transition was a little tough for all of us, it has been amazing watching her and Kate slowly become the best of friends. Amie lets Kate love all over her, Amie gives Katers kisses all the time, and lets Kate just pull on her and pet her and most of all she loves playing with Kate. There is a toy of amies that kate loves, and Kate will swing it around and Amie very gently plays and tries to get it. Its So sweet how amie knows not to be too rough. She knows exactly how hard to take the toy or slightly knaw at it...anyways. Here is a post to amie, for being the best pup there is and for loving on her new found friend.

welp...

its been a month. I apologize, but i have a cruising baby now, and well life is just a little crazier than normal. SUPER fun but crazy!

She is into everything, going to walk any day now, and talking up a storm. Nothing that really resembles a word, but she is letting us know about things left and right.

lets see...funny stories...today at the grocery store we were walking around, her talking and me saying the usual, "oh really?" "Tell me all about it" "what else you got girl" or "Hey girl, Heeeyyy!" When this sweet little old lady came up to see Kate and see how cute she is...(this by the way is something that the little old ladies do here in kingwood, on more than one occasion some of them have told me they come to the grocery store to see the babies :) too cute!) and well Kate just looked right at her and then started to blow bubbles at her. This sounds cute and sweet, but if you knew what blowing bubbles meant to kate, it means she purses her lips and then spits ALL over your face! And well, thats exactly what happened...and it was Really funny!

The LOL (little old lady) took it well, and just laughed it off and said she was going to be something to remember, and then walked off. And I thought, you know what, She is going to be Something to remember! My Katers, though now is the cute baby at the grocery that spit all over that LOL, she will grow up and be that something to remember. I am so blessed to be picked to be her momma to get to see this happen. Thank you Lord for this oppurtunity to praise you through loving our sweet girl.
