Aunt Stephanie...

I have decided that every once in a while I will let you all know about one of the many people the Lord has blessed me with, this idea started with Kates outfits. I know hard to believe that things in my life would revolve around clothes, but here we are.

Kate and I were VERY blessed to get some SUPER cute clothes at showers and things, and until just lately she hasnt been able to wear alot of them. Well the other day I took a chance and put her in this sweet little sweater dress that her Aunt Stephanie gave her. It was a hit, there is still some room to grow, but its sooo cute! I paired it with some fun little panty hose and a longsleeve shirt, because it was FREEZING, but it was REALLY CUTE!

Steph has been an intricate part in my life the last 7 years! WOW, long time. We met in college, had a year or so in there were we lost each other, but then came back, and she is one of my best friends. She is always there for me, whether I need a buddy to laugh with or cry, she is Always one I can count on. I cherish her as a friend and sister in my life. Its been such a special thing to have my sweet friends around, and see their love for Kate. anyways without me getting all choked up and starting to tear up, I will just say that I love me some steph, and I cant wait to see where the Lord takes our friendship for the next 7 years!

sad day....

so many things are happening in our little family, some exciting, some sad...yesterday was one of the sad days. We actually gave Georgie away. I have cried alot about this, but I know that its what we needed to do. He was and is such a wonderfully sweet little boy, and I am so sad that our little family couldnt keep him and keep loving him. But I have to know that he will be ok and loved with Don. Don Fleming, is the pastor of the last church nick and I were with in Mineola. He has a wonderful farm with tons of land and animals and fun things like that. Where George can run around and hang out with horses and follow Don on jobs, once he gets used to being outside, I know he is going to LOVE it! Shelby, Dons daughter is going to make life for Georgie very fun too, he loves kids, and she will love him good! I know he is going to be happy!

But I am just so sad, he was one of our little babies, and for a little part of his life he was greatly loved here. the funny thing is though, I dont think Amie even noticed! haha But I did. Today was very different only having one dog in the house. It definitly felt like something was missing.

templates and baby leg warmers?

SO I need to figure out how to make these blog templates. I am just not happy with any of them. I got so excited for changing it to a Christmas template, that I guess I expected to much from the free blog template world. There just isnt anything that I JUST LOVE! Everything is just OK! Not good. So here we go Ill try this one for today, but Im not happy about it. Infact the wording that they for some reason insist on having on the side doesnt even lay right. I think im going to change it before the day is over. Geez!!

For now though I will leave you with new pictures of Kate, in what I think is one of my Favorite outfits she has worn to date. most of you might think it doesnt match, but IT DOES, that is so in right now...AND she finally fits into her LEG WARMERS!!

You should all know that now that her legs are getting bigger, this is going to be a staple in her wardrobe. since becoming pregnant, and hanging out with my friend Tiffany and her super cute little girl who wears them as well, I have been obsessed with baby leg warmers! Love them, so cute! SOO excited that they finally fit and the 5 pairs we already have (more are good too) can stop feeling bad about themselves and get used! YAY!

Christmas at DISNEY!!!

Two things...I dont know if you know these things about me, and Nick, BUT we are still about 7 years old at heart. and WE LOVE DISNEY! This christmas we are going to Florida to see Nicks family (so excited!!) and when we go we are going to go to DISNEY!!!! SO today when I came home after running around with Katers, I turn on the travel channel while Im editing and guess what they are talking about....

Christmas at DISNEY!! I am very excited to see our family, but I AM VERY VERY excited to go to Disney at Christmas...I mean come on we all know its going to be INCREDIBLE! (i dont know how many more words in this post are going to be yelled, but there will probably be MORE)and its one of those things that not alot of people get to do...I feel SO blessed beyond belief, and SO EXCITED!! Needless to say, here is the video of the lighting of the castle, and I mean the video itself has changed my life! I cant wait to see it in person! And dont forget there is a giant tree at Epcot that is amazing, and in the England part they have a christmas party in the pub every night, and in all the other countries there are fun Christmas things for that country going on...EEEKKK im sooo excited!?!?

SHE SMILED!!!!

I know what you are all thinking..."Rachel, there have been pics already of her smiling on the blog, You are doing that whole way to excited over a gas smile thing" But NO!! She REALLY REALLY smiled at me...I know because she did it TWICE!! haha Basically we had just gotten done feeding and it was during one of her awake times, and we were playing, looking out the window and things. I started playing with her legs and saying in a high pitched voice "Hey Honey! What are you doing? What are you doing?" and Suddenly she was looking right at me and she SMILED!! so i took a minute collected myself and then tried again to make sure it wasnt gas, and SHE DID IT AGAIN!!! now she hasnt done it since, but I swear that we are on our way to smiling as a profession with this little one!! ITs SO exciting! Shes becoming a little girl already! hahaha

Here is my sad attempt to catch the second smile...its the after affects of the smile...but believe me or not, I know in my heart it was a REAL smile from my little katorade!

Im pretty sure she looks like me, but she is definitly starting to make some faces like her papa!

This picture was taken of me when we left the hospital when I was born, we redid this same pic with little Kate...This is one of my favorite baby pics of the past, so it was fun to take the quilt my sweet Aunt Kathy made and wrap her up in it. A cool thing too, is that my cousin Lauren, Aunt Kathy's daughter made Kate a blanket too! It is so special to me and I Love that the tradition continued on...

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful time at Thanksgiving! It was great to spend some good time with the family on both sides, alot of them got to see Kate for the first time, and just hanging out time was nice! Here are ALOT of pics from the week.

I have learned that when Nick is home I dont have as much time to think of silly blogs or things to take pictures of...I guess I get distracted! ha! I will try to be better when Christmas comes! EEK! I cant believe its so close...I think Im going to put up the christmas tree tomorrow! Crazy!
